A GREAT EVENT
Tuesday,
26th January 2010
|
Visitor
numbers are in the thousands every year and on the increase. |
| What’s
the attraction? Probably the location, no other village in
the southern highlands can lay claim to a more historic and
picturesque backdrop in which to celebrate this day in our
nations calendar of public holidays. Colin Gelling the organiser
of the annual celebrations said he has seen the numbers grow
every year as Australians who are normally pretty laid back
about demonstrating their pride and national identity has
grown, keeping in mind also that the day represents a public
holiday that is firmly entrenched in the nations psyche. |
