| 1. |
Mittagong
Markets retains the right to refuse entry of any Stallholder,
product and/or produce at their absolute discretion. Acceptance
to the market will be confirmed in writing. Site allocation
will be at the discretion of the Market Co-ordinator. |
| 2. |
Mittagong
Markets accepts no responsibility for damage or loss by participating
Stallholders. |
| 3. |
All
Stallholders must undertake and carry current Public and Product
Liability or Broad Form Insurance, and show proof to Mittagong
Markets from time to time, or when requested, a copy of the
Certificate of Currency.

| 4. |
All
Stallholders are required to have their cars parked in the council
public parking lot (adjacent to the market site) by 8:00am.
Perimeter parking is to be reserved for customers to the markets.
Exceptions to this are current stalls which park in Edward Lane
and must have the approval of the Market Co-ordinator, to keep
their vehicles on site. |
| 5. |
In
consideration of others, all Stallholders are requested to unload
their vehicle first, move the vehicle to the parking lot and
then set up the market stall. At the end of the market, pack
up then get your vehicle and load your vehicle. |
| 6. |
Standard
Stall Unit : Being nine (9) metres square (3 x 3) in size. Further
units of nine (9) metres square (3 x 3) are available at an
extra cost. |
| 7. |
All
Stallholders are responsible for securing their stalls adequately
against wind (additional weights at each leg) and protection
against the elements. Aisles must be kept clear and boxes stored
under tables where possible. Presentation of stalls must be
kept neat and tidy. No guide ropes allowed. |
| 8. |
Mittagong
Markets reserves the right to increase the costing structure
of the “Stall Units” from time to time, or when
deemed necessary. |
| 9. |
A
“Regular Attendee” is identified a someone who pre-plans
and pre-pays for market attendance one market in advance. |
| 10. |
Stall
Cancellation : Stallholders are requested to contact the Market
Co-ordinator 24 hours in advance if possible. Their stall fee
will be carried over at the discretion of the Market Co-ordinator,
if paid in advance. |
| 11. |
A
“Casual Attendee” is a Stallholder who does not
attend the markets on a regular basis and/or, does not have
one (1) months Stallholder fees paid in advance. Casual Stallholders
will have limited choices of the stall sites available, in preference
to the “Regular” Stallholders. |
| 12. |
It
is requested that additional goods and products be identified
to the Market Co-ordinator prior to being displayed at the markets
themselves. Stallholders are only to display and sell their
product or service, as identified on their Stallholder Application
Form. Mittagong Markets reserves the right to request that unidentified
goods/produce be removed from the Stallholders stand. |
| 13. |
Stallholders
are to be present for the market hours, which are 8:00am to
3:00pm. There are to be no vehicles moving within the markets
between those hours. Mittagong Markets reserves the right to
deny access to future markets to Stallholders who do not comply
with this request. |
| 14. |
All
rubbish generated by the Stallholders on the day of the market
is their sole responsibility to remove at the close of the day’s
market. Failure to comply will see a charge of $50 imposed for
the clean up and, a second breach, will see the Stallholders
having their participation to future Mittagong Markets cancelled.
Hot food stalls please supply own garbage bins for your customers. |
| 15. |
All
Stallholders are to implement and abide by best practice principles
in Occupational Health and Safety and Local and State Government
Health and Statutory Regulations. All stalls retailing food
should be registered with NSW Health (www.health.nsw.gov.au). |
| 16. |
Stallholders
must not have at their stall more than one (1) litre, in an
approved container, of any flammable liquids; one (1) nine (9)
kilo LPG gas cylinder (must have compliance stamp), and any
other cylinders containing inert gases must be secured to avoid
dislodgement. |
| 17. |
Stalls
must be equipped with fire blanket and fire extinguisher suitable
for their own fire risks. |
| 18. |
Any
seller of meat must provide documentary evidence that the meat
was obtained from a licensed butcher, meat wholesaler, or butchery.
All food vendors must maintain on-site inventory of stock, supplier
details, invoice and other relevant documentary evidence to
facilitate food safety recall if required. |
| 19. |
No
counterfeit goods to be sold in breach of copyright and/or trademarks. |
| 20. |
Market
Cancellation : Is at the discretion of the Market Co-ordinator
and the Stallholder is responsible to make contact with the
Market Co-ordinator (Mobile : 0408 416 175) to confirm cancellation.
Should the Stallholder assume incorrectly that the Mittagong
Market will be cancelled, then any paid advance market fees
may be forfeited. |
